Since most creative ideas for writers come from within us, we have found that regular writing of a diary, a journal, or of memoirs, is a vital part of creative writing. By writing memoirs, or keeping a journal/diary, we tap into the vast creative storehouse of our memory on a regular schedule. We should meet weekly and each member should be prepared to read his or her week's memoir or journal, usually about 500 to 2,000 words. We wil …
